The Evolution of Darwin Scavenger Hunt

See Darwin like you never have before with the Evolution of Darwin scavenger hunt.

Delight your friends and explore the city in ways never seen before. The Evolution of Darwin scavenger hunt will lead you to discover the award-winning Aboriginal actors to historic battlefields. The hunt will lead you through Darwin’s uncharted history and open your eyes to the best and least known secrets of this city.

How it works

The great thing about this scavenger hunt is it is completely lead by you. Simply head online to purchase your tickets and download the app to your smartphone.

You can start the hunt at any time of day, any day of the year. Each team member chooses a role and their challenges will be tailored to them. Maybe you’re going to be the photographer and score extra points by snapping some creative pics of the group. Or, maybe you’re the medic, ready to keep an eye on everyone and take some pics of your teammates checking on each other.

There are nine roles to choose from and each brings its own unique challenges and trivia questions. Up to four players can be registered to a single device and with ‘youngster’ options the hunt is appropriate for the whole family!

Choosing your hunt

When booking your tickets, you can choose to upgrade to a birthday, date night, or team-building activity. The upgrades tailor your hunt to your event, however, even without them, the hunts are great fun!

If you’re an avid traveller and will be visiting several Australian capital cities in the next 12 months, why not book an annual pass? They give you unlimited access to all of their scavenger hunts, that’s over 500 hunts to complete across the world!

Discovering Darwin

The capital of the Northern Territory, Darwin is an absolute must stop. The tropical city has skyrocketed in popularity over recent years and is quickly building a reputation as one of the best holiday destinations in Australia.

The small CBD and nearby waterfront are perfect for exploring on foot. Discover hidden laneways and public street art as you wander down the main street and through the business district. The city is alive with local stores and handmade goods.

After the hunt

The hunt should take you approximately two or three hours to complete, so we suggest planning your day around some delicious meals! Darwin has some of the most amazing food you will ever eat, so we suggest starting your hunt at either 10 am or 3 pm. This should time your finish perfectly to head to a nearby restaurant for lunch or dinner. If starting at 3 pm you might even be able to catch the beautiful tropical sunset along the foreshore.

Wherever you find yourself you’re sure to be treated to flavourful meals packed with local produce. Top Enders love to showcase local flavours and support local producers, so you can know you’re supporting more than just once business when you sit down for your meal.

A scavenger hunt is a great way to explore the city and discover local secrets.
